A Backward Collective Blog Entry Ahead
December 30 (Today)
So, now, the whole of my mother's 'clan' will be heading off to Japan to celebrate Shogatsu, as we do every year. :) Me, Jin, Ryu, Aya and Shig decided to get ready with INXS's Pretty Vegas, 6cyclemind's Sandalan and L'Arc En Ciel (gotta have your J-Pop and OPM along with mainstream!) in case we had to present something. XD We practiced yesterday at Shig's and needless to say, it was really fun. :)
Oh yeah, I had received news a few days ago that I got in DLSU (and I learned that my kabarkadas got in too). Way to go, we've got somewhere to fallback now! XD
December 25
Well, I'm glad to report that Christmas was okay this year: not the best, albeit not the worst either... so that's a good thing. :)
I had woken up pretty late because of the usual Christmas Eve gathering of my dad's 'clan,' so I started late on opening my Christmas gifts (haha, yeah, I DO open all my gifts on Christmas day :D). I spent the whole morning and a little of the afternoon sitting beside the Christmas tree and tearing open envelopes and packages. I must mention that a lot of people were really lazy in buying gifts this year... I got a lot of money envelopes, alright! XD Hahaha... ka-ching! :) Anyway, the rest of the day was mostly spent Magic-Singing with the family. :) Who would have thought one of my brother's Manila-based friends would gift him with a Magic-Sing? Clearly, Kuya didn't expect something like that (even though he IS frontman-material). Hahaha... we used it right away and it was cool, although it's too bad that not a lot of the songs I wanted to sing were in that "magic microphone."
December 24
Somehow I was forced by my mom to run to Shopwise and get some extra ingredients for her paella for the Christmas dinner with the people from my dad's family. May I just say that it hella sucked there? The line was until the freakin' END of the supermarket!!! It took me forever to get what I was told, and by the time I got home, I only had fifteen minutes to dress and prepare myself for dinner... boo. But of course, thanks to my superpowers, I got myself to look dashing and presentable (HAHAHA) in front of my relatives. XD
December 23 (Birthday!)
For those who came, thank you, thank you, thank you for coming to my (and my sister Sak's and my cousin Kai's) party! :)
It was cool having Embassy closed down just for us, wasn't it? :D Hmm... and it cost a hell of a lot too. XD
Honestly, I wasn't expecting a lot of people to come, since the party was near Christmas, and I thought people would be going to the provinces or abroad, but I was SO wrong! XD Just like Rei and Shirai's party, a lot of people came! :) Oh, but I just regret that the drinks were free-flowing and a lot of people had to wake up hungover the next day! :| (Buti na lang, mataas ang tolerance ko sa alcohol, hahaha! XD)
Anyway, yeah, that sums up the last few days. I'll try to post something about Japan when we get back (or better yet, when we're there), as something interesting almost always happens during our stay. XD
