World Cup Fever
Viva Italia! :) Hahaha, so as you probably know, Italy won World Cup 2006. :)
Jin and I actually had a bet during the first games or World Cup 2006 Germany. Jin picked Germany (the host... hahaha, how typical of him XP), France and England, while I picked Italy, Portugal and Brazil. Amazing how two of our three chosen teams made it to the semifinals, isn't it? Hahaha... anyway, I got twenty dollars for winning the bet. I was like, "hello, one thou pesos, welcome to my pocket!" just to remember that I didn't have to compute between pesos and dollars since I'd most probably be spending that money while I'm here. Aw.
I was able to watch the game live, just as I used to, years ago, when the World Cup was held in Korea-Japan. :D Sak was awake at freakin' two-thirty AM, Manila time to watch the World Cup live too, with the Cyn kada! We were on (VERY expensive) six-way calling while the game was on... Louie and I were here in California; Michele's in France; and three phones were being used by the rest of the Cynix, since some were in Ateneo, the others were in Greenhills, and the rest were in Hina's house which was on satellite technicrap (tss... rich girl). It felt nostalgic and fun, as it was great hearing everyone just as if they were right beside me, watching the game. :)
And, who can forget what happened at the beginning of July? Bring on the Pinoy pride, let's go Pacmaaaaan! :) Hahaha... I was able to watch through TFC. Yeah, I heard you gasp! Damn, I couldn't believe Jin subscribed to TFC until I saw it too. :)
I walked around Stanford today, and yes, it's true. Campus is really mighty fine! :P I'll give you guys a tour when you visit me here. :)
